Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How does this process work?

A. Once you have decided on the quantity and type of paper you would like, go to my Web Store and make your purchase. You can pay securely through Paypal or Google Checkout. Submit the order form with your design choice and information. You will need to e-mail your photos to me at photos@suzieqphotocreations.com. I will then e-mail a proof to you within 48 hours. You may make as many changes to the proof as you like. I will not order your cards until I have your approval.

Q. How do I pay for my order?

A. Go to my Web Store and select the card type and quantity needed. You will then be able to pay securely through Paypal or Google Checkout.

Q. Do envelopes come with my order?

A. Yes, white envelopes are included. Unfortunately, I cannot print return addresses on the envelopes or send them out early.

Q. Can you edit my photos?

A. Yes. Free, automatic photo editing is always included with your order to produce the highest quality print possible. I can crop, reduce red-eye, hand color tint, remove minor imperfections, and change your photos to black and white or sepia. Background removal may also be an option. If you have special instructions for your photos, just e-mail me and let me know what you would like to see done.

Q. What type of paper are the announcements printed on?

A. The 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" cards are printed on professional photo paper with a nice lustre finish that is neither glossy nor matte, just like a photograph you would have developed at a lab. It produces crisp colors and resists fingerprints. The 4.25" x 5.5" cards are press-printed on glossy card stock. They also produce rich, crisp colors and resist fingerprints. Press-printed cards are only available in increments of 100.

Q. Can I change the colors on the announcement?

A. Yes, the colors can be changed to compliment your photos or changed at your request. Boy designs can be changed to girl colors and vice versa.

Q. I'm not very computer savvy. What resolution should my photos be?

A. A resolution of 1800 x 1200 pixels is best for digital photos. Scanned photos should be at a resolution of at least 300 dpi, and preferrably, 600 dpi. If you are not sure if your photos will work, feel free to e-mail them to me and I will let you know.

Q. We're having twins/adopting. Can you change your design to accommodate this?

A. Yes, any design can be modified to fit any occasion.

Q. Can I use professional photographs in my announcements? What is your copyright policy?

A. Suzie Q Photo Creations respects and upholds the legal rights of photographers. The copyright holder is whoever takes the photograph. By submitting your photos to me, you agree that you are the photographer or have permission from the copyright holder. If the photograph was taken from a professional photographer, you must have permission in the form of a copyright license from that photographer. A copy of this permission is not required, but the customer agrees to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyright images and agrees to not hold Suzie Q Photo Creations liable for any misuse of the submitted copyrighted photos.

Q. Do the announcements require additional postage?

A. No, the announcements require a standard 42¢ stamp.

Q. How long does it take to get the announcements once I give my approval?

A. Please allow 10 business days for delivery.
